Welsh Affairs Committee Actual start House of Commons
11:18 - 12:14
Speaker 1
Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to this oral evidence session of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee.
My name is Ruth Jones, I'm the chair of the committee, and today is the committee's third session for the inquiry into cross-border healthcare arrangements between England and Wales. Now yesterday, the committee heard evidence from the seven local health boards in Wales, which did raise some concerns about the opacity of the cross-border healthcare process. So we're very grateful today to have the members from the NHS Joint Commissioning Committee before us, to hopefully shed some light on how the cross-border healthcare operates. So I want to say thank you so much to the three of you for appearing in person before us today. Before I begin though, can I just check that do any members have any interest to declare?
No, that's fine. Okay, we're going to carry on.
So can I begin by asking you all briefly to introduce yourselves and your role within the JCC? Shall I start with Juliet Brown, please?
