Good evening everyone and thank you for joining us for this third press conference following the IGCs we've been having today. I think we have perfected the entrance and the and our setup. So, we are we are going to close this very busy day with the press conference following the accession conference with Moldova. We are joined on the podium by Deputy Minister Marilena Raouna, by Commissioner Marta Kos and by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandru Munteanu. I will first give the floor to Minister Raouna.

Thank you very much, Maria. Today is such a momentous day for Moldova and it is a momentous day also for the whole of the European Union, for Europe. The opening of cluster one, the fundamentals in the accession negotiations, marks a significant milestone in Moldova's European journey and I would like to warmly congratulate you. It is a moment that carries both political significance and also a powerful human dimension because behind every reform, every legislative change and every benchmark that has been met, stand with determination, hard work and the aspirations of the Moldovan people. When I visited Moldova before the start of the presidency, I was very warmly hosted by my good friend Cristina Gherasimov.
I experienced both from Chișinău and from the villages, I experienced firsthand the the resilience, the strength and the perseverance of the Moldovan people and I hold them very close to my heart. And I also witnessed the commitment, the true commitment to the European dream. As did President Christodoulides when he joined President Sandu, this inspirational leader, to celebrate Europe Day together this year during our presidency. As presidency of the Council of the European Union, Cyprus warmly welcomes this achievement and congratulates the Republic of Moldova, the people of Moldova on reaching this important stage. This milestone has been achieved by hard persistent work.
